Itinerary for a 10 days trip from Fez to Tangier. This wonderful vacation of 10 days and 9 nights will take you to numerous places of great beauty. After a guided tour of Fez, you will go to the Moroccan Switzerland, Ifrane, and the cedar forest. You will then descend the Ziz River on an enchanting journey. Then you will reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Here you can ride a camel and sleep in a luxurious tent in the desert. Also, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and sunrises of the Sahara. In addition to 4×4 excursions in the Sahara Desert. You will also explore the medieval market of Rissani and the fossil city of Erfoud. Then, contemplate the Todra and Dades Gorges, as well as the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
Cross the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains in Marrakech and Essaouira. Visit the country’s largest city, Casablanca, and the capital, Rabat. Then, Meknes, imperial city, the Roman remains of Volubilis and Chefchaouen, the blue city. Finally, the trip comes to an end in Tangier.

The 10 days experience in Morocco starts with the pick up at the airport or at your accommodation in Fez. The next day, visit the sights of Fez with a local guide. The city, considered the cultural and religious center of Morocco, is recognized as one of the imperial cities.
We open the day by going to the gate of the Royal Palace. The medieval Medina, very well preserved, is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will head to the Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, which is the gate to the old Medina. Upon entering the Medina, you will observe the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain and the Tanneries. Finally, the oldest institution in the world, the mosque and university of Quaraouin. We will then leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter, also known as “la Mellah”. In the afternoon, we will go to a medieval fortress to enjoy a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fez. Return to your Riad at the end of the trip.
To enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert, you have to get up early. Breakfast and return by camel to Merzouga, where the driver awaits you. The third day of your 6-day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Fez begins with an exploration of the Merzouga region. Other beautiful features of the area include dunes, natural lakes, mines and impressive oases worth exploring.
To begin our excursion in Merzouga, we will drive off-road to an old delineator mine. We will then visit the nomads in their hand-woven tent. The village of Khamlia is our next stop Khamlia, famous for its Gnaoua music and dance performances. Most of its inhabitants come from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan and Niger. Time for lunch and then we will take a walk through a palm forest. Then we will travel a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit the city of Rissani, former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still an important commercial center of the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a walk in the souk of Rissani.
We head to Erfoud after strolling through Rissani to see one of the fossilized marble manufacturers. We then travel to the Todra Gorges passing through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. The Todra River cut a vast canyon through the mountains, leaving behind high red cliff walls. Climbers will love these gorges. Feel free to explore the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Lunch in a restaurant is optional. We will then head to the Dades valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. It is hard not to stop at the rock formation of the “monkey fingers”. And perched on a ridge with a 360 degree view of the Dades valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in Dades.
We continue to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Valley of the Roses. In May the Rose Festival is held annually. Where the locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetic products. We will then drive along several Kasbahs, including the Kasbah of Amridil, surrounded by the palm grove of Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate, where we will visit some famous places such as the studio and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Dinner and overnight in hotel or Riad.
During day 5, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah has also been featured in movies and TV series such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy and Game of Thrones. We will then drive through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. There will be stops for lunch and sightseeing. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
After breakfast, we will return to Marrakech to explore the highlights of Marrakech with a native guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities of Morocco. The itinerary includes visits to the Bahia Palace, the Saadi Tombs and the Koranic Ben Youssef Mosque. You will also stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Lunch break at the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, you will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, as well as the Majorelle Garden. Finally, head to your hotel. You will have free time to explore the Jemaa El-Fna square on your own.
Departure after breakfast to Essaouira. We will stop along the way to appreciate the argan trees and goats, as well as to contemplate the panoramic views. We will arrive in Essaouira, formerly Mogador, the most important coastal city in Morocco. The city is known for its varied seafood, beautiful beaches and surfing. We will explore the fishing port, the medieval ramparts with cannons and the old Medina. Finally, return to your hotel. Overnight in Essaouira.
After breakfast, the 10-day Morocco program continues to Casablanca. We will embark in Essaouira and travel along the coast to Casablanca, the commercial center of Morocco. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, as well as the Casablanca Corniche. Free time for lunch. Then, trip to Rabat, capital of Morocco. Overnight in Rabat.
After breakfast, we will visit Rabat, the royal city and contemporary capital of Morocco.It is located on the Atlantic coast in the northwest of Morocco.You will see the highlights of the city, such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of Oudaya.Lunch is on the house.In the afternoon, we will travel north through Ouazzane to Chefchaouen, the blue city of the Rif Mountains.The city is known for its blue painted houses and narrow streets. Depending on your flight schedule, you can spend the last day of your 10-day Morocco itinerary strolling through the charming alleys of the blue city. We will then drive through the Rif Mountains to Tangier and finally take you to the airport, where your trip has come to an end.
