Itinerary

Day 1:TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT:

We will arrange for your pickup at the airport and transport you to your Riad in Fez.

Day 2 :VISIT OF FEZ :

After enjoying breakfast at your Riad, your exploration of Fez, one of Morocco’s “Religious Cities,” will commence with the guidance of a local expert. Spend the entire morning delving into the Medina, where you’ll visit numerous cultural and historical landmarks, including the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), as well as the Tanneries and the Najjarine Fountain. Following lunch, we’ll leisurely wander around the outskirts of the Medina to admire the entrance of the Royal Palace, followed by a stroll through the Jewish quarter known as “el Mellah” before visiting the pottery cooperative. In the afternoon, ascend one of the bastions for a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez. You’ll spend the night at the same Riad, continuing to soak in the rich atmosphere of this captivating city.

Day 3 :FEZ - IFRANE - CEDER FOREST - SAHARA:

As we journey through the Atlas Mountains, our first stop will be in the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its climate, architecture, and historical significance. Here, we’ll take a brief pause to wander and appreciate the picturesque surroundings before continuing our drive to the largest cedar forest in Morocco, located near the scenic village of Azrou. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to observe Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. Continuing our journey through the highlands, we’ll pass by several Berber settlements such as Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt.

Our route then leads us southward over the High Atlas Mountains until we arrive at Errachidia, where the Valley of the Palms unfolds, creating an oasis of lush greenery ideal for cultivating various fruit trees and vegetables. Continuing onwards, we reach Erfoud, renowned as the city of fossils, where traces of a bygone era submerged by the sea are plentiful. Here, the paved roads give way to Saharan trails and mud-brick structures as we make our way to Merzouga, the largest town in the Sahara Desert. You’ll spend the night in a hotel near the dunes, with dinner and breakfast provided, as you prepare to immerse yourself in the unique desert landscape.

Day 4 :VISIT OF MERZOUGA :

On this exciting day, we will go even deeper into Erg Chebbi. We will go to Khamlia and see small villages and inhabited residences in unexpected areas far from civilization. In addition, we will meet nomads eager to share their way of life with guests. Our search continues when we locate an ancient mine on the border of Morocco and Algeria that was discovered by the French years ago. We then return to town for a traditional Berber meal known as “Berber pizza”.

In the afternoon camel trek; friendly camels guided by a man with many years of experience going up and down the sand with different stops to take pictures of landscapes and amazing sunsets, around 1H30 walking you will reach the camp located in the heart of the desert where you will have your dinner and enjoy the Berber music played by the locals under a starry sky. You will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the wonderful sunrise views before returning to the hotel by camel, where you will have breakfast and shower.

Day 5 :MERZOUGA - TODRA GORGE - DADES VALLEY - OUARZAZATE :

After enjoying breakfast, our journey continues to Rissani, an ancient center of trade and commerce that served as a pivotal stop for caravans traveling from Timbuktu to Marrakech, particularly renowned for its bustling salt market. Following a tour of the largest market in the region, we proceed through semi-desert terrain until we reach the oasis of Tinghir, celebrated as one of the most picturesque locations in Morocco. Our next destination is the Todra Gorges, renowned as the highest and narrowest canyons globally, attracting climbers from around the world. After a satisfying lunch, we venture onwards to the Dades Valley and the town of Roses, where the authentic Damask rose flourishes. Here, you’ll have the opportunity for a brief stop at a cooperative to witness the extraction process of various rose products.

Continuing along the renowned “road of the Thousand Kasbahs,” we arrive at Ouarzazate, one of the most significant cities in southern Morocco, renowned for its vibrant cinematic activity. This city boasts a rich history of film production, with notable movies such as Gladiator, Troy, and The Mummy being filmed at the famous Atlas Corporation Studios. Upon arrival at our hotel, you’ll have the option to visit the studios before settling in for the night, with dinner and breakfast provided.

Day 6:OUARZAZATE - AIT BENHADDOU -MARRAKECH :

Following breakfast, we’ll head to Ait Ben Haddou, often referred to as the queen of kasbahs and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to explore its captivating surroundings. Later on, we’ll journey along one of Morocco’s most scenic routes, the “Kasbah of Telouet,” and visit the historic castle of Glaoui Pacha in Marrakech. Continuing our expedition, we’ll traverse the Tzin Tichka pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters, where we’ll pause to take in the breathtaking vistas and enjoy lunch before reaching the imperial city of Marrakech. You’ll spend the night in a riad, immersing yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of this vibrant city.

Day 7:VISIT OF THE CITY OF MARRAKECH :

Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day tour of Marrakech accompanied by a local guide. Dating back to the 11th century, Marrakech, often referred to as “the red city” due to the hue of its walls, was founded by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads. Throughout the day, we’ll visit several iconic landmarks, including the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Majorelle Gardens. We’ll also explore the vibrant souks and immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere of Djemaa El Fna square, where the pulse of the city beats with dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artists, merchants, and snake charmers, providing an unforgettable experience. You’ll have some free time to wander and delve deeper into these fascinating sites. You’ll spend the night at the same riad, allowing you to savor the essence of Marrakech at your leisure.

Day 8:MARRAKECH - AIRPORT:
