Take plеasurе on this trip around a 9 days Desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. We will start our journey from Marrakech to the Sahara desert in southern Morocco and end in Tangier. En route, we will pass through the district of Mеrzouga and discover many beautiful places, such as the Atlas Mountains and its impressive traditional buildings.

Then go to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Bеn Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a long history. We will also see the Gorgе Todra and the magnificent Rosе and Dadеs valleys. Finally, we will ride through the Saharan desert of Erg Chеbbi to enjoy the radiant sunshine. Finally, spend a wonderful night under a starry sky in the desert camp (tеnts of Bеrbеr).

Itinerary

Day 1:Marrakech Airport:

Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to the Hotel where you will enjoy dinner and spend your first night.

Day 2 :Marrakech - Casablanca:

After breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, which is the oldest and the largest city in Morocco. You will have the opportunity to visit the Palace of Mohammed V, the United Nations Square and the famous league of Arab states which is known for its unique breeds of palm trees. After strolling through the ancient streets, you will go to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 :Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fez:

On the third day we will head to the Moroccan capital, Rabat, where the king resides. We will explore the charm of this coastal city and enjoy a tasty Moroccan lunch there. We will then head to Meknes. An interesting fact is that the 16th century ruler “Moulay Ismail” took this city as his capital during his time. He built his magnificent palace decorated with the most intricate colorful stuccoes, huge bronze doors beautifully detailed and superb mosaics. We will then visit Volubilis, the westernmost outpost of the ancient Roman Empire, before heading to Fez for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4:Guided tour of the city of Fez:

This day trip visits some of the main attractions of Fez, home to Morocco’s first university. No visit to the imperial city is complete without seeing its ancient medina, which offers endless things to do and see. Inside, you’ll love the bustling streets filled with noisy street vendors selling everything from colorful vegetables, delicious Middle Eastern pastries flavored with cinnamon and honey, and the master craftsmen who beat sheets of metal into masterpieces.

Day 5:Fez - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga (Sahara Desert):

After breakfast in Fez, our journey will continue to Merzouga, Erg Chebbi Dunes, passing through the exceptional Ziz valley and Errachidia and stopping in Midelt for lunch. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a little swimming pool at the hotel and then ride camels for 2 hours in Erg Chebbi during sunset to reach our nomad camp. In the middle of the SAHARA desert, you will spend a night full of entertainment with the locals with a good meal at dinner around the campfire before retiring to your private tents.

Day 6Merzouga Dunes - Toudra Gorges - Tinghir - Dades Gorges.

In Merzouga Dunes, we will wake up early to see the picturesque sunrise of the Sahara, ride a camel back to the hotel to enjoy a quick shower and have breakfast. Afterwards, we will continue to the Dades Gorges, where rock climbing is the main activity. After walking through the impressive gorges, we will enjoy dinner and rest in a 4 star hotel.

Day 7:Dades Gorges - Valley of Roses - Skoura Palm - Ouarzazate:

Departure to Ouarzazate through the wonderful valley of roses where the festival is held every year. Lunch and then drive to “Africa’s Hollywood” studios in Ouarzazate, where many famous movies like “Kingdom of Heaven” and “Gladiator” were filmed. Later, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, one of the oldest and most magnificent in all of Morocco. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8:Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After enjoying breakfast and visiting the famous film studios of Ouarzazate, we will head to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has been another favorite location for Hollywood directors and where Alexander and Son of God were filmed. We will have lunch next to the Kasbah and then drive into the High Atlas Mountains, where we will have a cup of mint tea with the locals before arriving in Marrakech at 17:00. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9:Marrakech Airport

This day marks the end of your tour of Morocco Imperial Cities of Marrakech. Our driver will take you to the airport with the hope that we have given you good memories and looking forward to seeing you again.
