The 5-day desert trip from Fez begins with early pick-up at the airport or at your hotel in Fez. Then we will travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, famous for its low temperatures, snow and alpine-style residences; no wonder it is known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Then head to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. You can feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we will head to Midelt for lunch. Then drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the Ziz River to the Sahara Desert.
We will reach the Sahara desert in the afternoon. We will travel by camel to discover the dusty desert. You will be taken to the top of a high dune to contemplate the fascinating views of the sunset. You will then head to the luxury desert camp, where you will enjoy listening to Berber drum music while dancing around a bonfire under a large open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight at camp.

After breakfast, we will leave the desert to visit the city of Rissani, former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still an important shopping centre in the region, with a large souk bustling on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a walk through the souk of Rissani.
We headed to Erfoud after strolling through Rissani to see one of the manufacturers of fossilized marble. Then we will travel to the Todra gorges passing through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. The Todra River cut a vast canyon through the mountains, leaving behind high walls of red cliffs. Climbers will like these gorges. Feel free to explore the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Lunch in a restaurant is optional. Then we will head to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. It is difficult not to stop at the rock formation of the “monkey fingers”. And perched on a ridge with a 360 degree view of the Dades valley. Finally, dinner and accommodation in Dades.

We continue to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Valley of the Roses. In May a Rose Festival is held annually. Where locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, water and rose oil, to cosmetic products. Then we will drive through several Kasbahs, including Amridil, surrounded by the palm grove of Skoura. We will arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will visit some well-known places like the studio and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or Riad.

The last day we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is a fortified village declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. La Kasbah has also appeared in films and television series such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy and Game of Thrones. Then we will cross the port of Tizi-N-Tichka and the High Atlas Mountains until we reach Marrakech. There will be stops for lunch and to photograph sights. Finally, we will drop you at the airport or at your hotel in Marrakech. The culmination of a 5-day trip through the Fez desert to Marrakech.
