From Fez to Marrakech, on a 4 days Morocco tour from Fez to Marrakech. This four days and three nights trip will take you to many spectacular places in a short time. The trip starts in Fez. First we will travel to the Moroccan Switzerland, Ifrane, and the cedar forest. We will have lunch in Midelt and then travel along the enchanting Ziz River. Then we will reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you can ride a camel and sleep in a desert tent in the middle of nowhere. Also, experience the magnificent sunsets and sunrises of the Sahara. 4 days Sahara desert tour from Fez. You will also visit the historic market of Rissani and the fossil city of Erfoud. Then you will head to the Todra Gorges, the Dades Gorges and the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou. Finally, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains to the last destination, the city of Marrakech.

Itinerary

Day 1:Fez - Ifrane - Cedar forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Sahara:

The 4 days trip from Fez to Marrakech through the desert starts with early pick up at the airport or at your accommodation. We will then travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, famous for its low temperatures, snow and alpine-style residences; no wonder it is known as the Switzerland of Morocco. We will then head to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. You can feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we will head to Midelt for lunch. Then we will drive over the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River to the Sahara Desert.
We will arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. We will then change to camels to cross the sandy desert. We will take you to the top of a high dune to watch the wonderful sunset. Then drive to the luxury desert camp, where you will dance around a bonfire under a big open sky of stars while listening to Berber drum music. Dinner and rest at the camp.

Day 2 :Explore the region of Merzouga - Nomads - Khamlia - Lake Merzouga - Erg Chebbi - palm grove:

Wake up early in the morning is a must, to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then return by camel to Merzouga, where the driver awaits us. We spend the day exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible places, from sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil areas to fabulous oasis. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.

First, we start our trip in Merzouga, driving off-road to visit an ancient delineator mine. Then we will pay a visit to the nomads, in their hand-woven tent. We will learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its inhabitants are originally from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Afterwards, walk through a palm grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Lake of the Flamingos. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3 :Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley:

On the 3rd day of your trip to the desert, you depart to Rissani after a special night in the middle of the sahara to explore the capital of tafilalet ,which is known for trade and its traditional souk.
We head to Erfoud after strolling through Rissani to see one of the fossilized marble manufacturers. Then we travel to the Todra Gorges passing through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. The Todra River cut a vast canyon through the mountains, leaving behind high red cliff walls. Climbers will love these gorges. Feel free to explore the gorges and enjoy the scenery. Lunch in a restaurant is optional. We will then head to the Dades valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. It is hard not to stop at the rock formation of the “monkey fingers”. And perched on a ridge with a 360 degree view of the Dades valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in Dades.

Day 4 :Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Palm groves of Skoura - Ouarzazate - Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas - Marrakech

On the last day of your four-day desert vacation from Fez, we will head to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Valley of the Roses. In May the Rose Festival is celebrated. Where locals sell rose items such as fragrances, rose water, oil and cosmetics. Then we will travel through the palm groves of Skoura. Later, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, commonly known as the Gateway to the Desert. We will go to the studios where famous movies were shot.
Departure to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortress settlement declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In addition, the Kasbah has appeared in several films, such as Gladiator, Alexander or The Mummy, among others. And in TV series such as Game of Thrones. Then we headed to Marrakech. Driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, as well as the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and photographing fascinating places. When we arrive in Marrakech, we will drop you off at the airport or at your hotel. We will then finish the 4 days tour from Fez to Marrakech.
